Lebanon Valley College has recognized 186 of its first-semester freshman and transfer students for making an impact on the campus as a new student. The Celebration of Student Success reception, held Feb. 7 in the Neidig-Garber Science Center atrium, honored the students' achievement. The honorees were nominated by faculty and administrators for standing out in the classroom, in their work with classmates, as student leaders, in on-campus employment, or in extracurricular activities such as athletics, performance, and volunteerism. The following students were named to the fall 2011 dean's list at Lebanon Valley College. Dean's list students must maintain a 3.4 average out of a possible 4.0.

The following local students have been named to the Dean's List for the Fall 2011 semester at York College of Pennsylvania.

The following local residents, all first-year students at York College, received academic scholarships from the College:

Wilkes University held its summer commencement ceremony on Sunday, Sept. 12, in the Arnaud C. Marts Sports and Conference Center, Wilkes-Barre. The University awarded over 500 degrees and about 100 undergraduate and graduate students attended the ceremony. Wilkes also awarded its first ever doctor of education degree. Lebanon Valley College has enrolled 1,631 undergraduates for the 2011-2012 academic year, including the largest new student cohort in the College's 146-year history.
